About Me & My Year Abroad

Hello dear blog readers!
My name is Charlie and this is my year abroad blog.

A Bit About Me:

  •  I grew up near London, but have been living in Cardiff for the last two years, as a student of French and Japanese at Cardiff University.
  • I have been learning French for over 10 years, but I only picked up Japanese 4 years ago, in Sixth Form.
  • Aside from languages, I also love music  (I was on the committee for my university's rock music society last year, and sang in a choir for most of my high school years) and art (I did GCSE and A Level, and often visit galleries with my mum or my boyfriend.)

My Year Abroad:

If you're doing any kind of foreign language degree, the third year is usually spent abroad. The aim of the game is to improve your language skills and cultural understanding beyond what you can get in a classroom.
Since I'm doing both French and Japanese, I'm splitting my year out in two.
